The infestation of WORRY

Worry is the most common stumbling block to a living a happy, contented life and it infests almost everyone living today. Also, worry keeps us from attaining our goal of enlightenment. Worry is a habit of modern society and this is why I am calling it an "infestation". When we are concerned with problems that cause us to worry, we not only consume much energy, but our minds are not free to solve these very same same problems that consume us. Also, other very important phases of our of lives slip by us, not getting the attention that they need. Let us examine "worry" and see what it is. For because it is a habit, it is thru our reason and intellect that we can eliminate it in our lives.

What is worry? WORRY IS A SMALL STREAM OF FEAR FLOWING THRU OUR BEING. WORRY IS AN EMOTION RESPONSE (FEAR) TO A DIFFICULTY IN OUR LIFE. WORRY IS DESPERATELY TRYING TO FIND THE ANSWER TO A PERSONAL PROBLEM.

Worry has never solved a difficulty or answered a personal problem in anyone`s life. In fact, it does the opposite. It consumes our mind, wears us out, tears down our health, and leads us down the road to defeat.

Know this: every human has within, the ability to solve every problem that life deals him. When difficulties assail you, problems confront you, do not fret and worry about them, but look at them as life experiences and try to the keep the emotional response of "poor me" out of the equation. Everyone has problems. No certain person is singled out. Then look at the situation in this manner: can anything be done by me or someone else to solve this problem, and if they can, what steps must be taken. If not, then it is destiny, an experience, that your soul wants you to live thru, and arriving at this answer, then go on with your life.

Some people live their whole lives worrying, fretting, and in fear. This is not life as it is meant to be. Dissolve your fears by looking at them in the cold light of reason. If they are harmless to yourself and others, then do what you fear, until it is gone. For example, if you fear getting up and speaking in public, take a speach class, or join a group and "do" your fear until you enjoy it. Do not let fear rule your life.

As you rid yourself, your soul, of fear and worry you begin to love yourself, then others, and your compassion for all of humanity will grow. Then you are ready to step onto the path of enlightenment and live by your intuition and the promptings of the "master within".
